I am Azadeh, a qualitative HCI/User Experience Researcher. I care about ethical design and my goal is to influence design decisions that can improve the quality of people’s lives personally and professionally as well as their emotional and social well-being using technology.
My journey to HCI started with understanding the challenges that remote communication creates for people and different relationships and how to design experiences to address these challenges. During my PhD, I mainly focused on designing communication technologies for families to connect, stay aware and share their lives together over distance.
Driven by my passion in “getting the right design and the design right” in the field of user research, I have conducted generative and evaluative research in different stages of the product development and in various areas of technology design including online stores, productivity, digital heath, parental supervision, and remote collaboration.
Working in these different areas has given me the opportunity to conduct research with diverse user demographics including but not limited to young children, older adults, parents, patients, health practitioners, and information workers.
You can mostly find me somewhere in the nature either in the ocean or on the mountains. I love skiing, swimming, scuba diving and paddle boarding and I enjoy travelling, socializing and exploring different cultures and places. You can see some photos from my adventures here.
